Dispatchzo

Every job, every technician, every day, on one board

Introduction

Field service scheduling and dispatch software for a day that holds

A field service schedule is not a calendar. A calendar records what somebody intends to do; a schedule has to survive a technician running ninety minutes long on the first call, a customer who is not home, and a parts run nobody planned. Dispatchzo holds the board the day is actually worked to: the job, the technician assigned, the window promised, and the work order, estimate and invoice the job leaves behind when it is done. The three worksheets below are free and answer the questions that usually start this off.

One board the whole team works to

Every job, the technician on it, the window promised and the paperwork it produced. $69 a month, whole team, not per technician.

Everything a dispatched day has to answer for, kept in one record
  • Every job, with the technician on it. A day without names against the jobs is a wish list. On the worked example we publish, 6 technicians at 5.2 jobs a day is a ceiling of 31.2, and every job booked past it is a phone call somebody will make later.
  • What you promised, and whether you held it. On the worked example we publish, 22% of the working day goes on travel, which is 144 jobs a month worth $41,081. A window you can hold is the difference between clustering work and driving past customers.
  • The work order, the estimate and the invoice, on the job. The document written at the address is accurate and the one written that evening is a reconstruction. Keeping both on the job that produced them is what stops the office retyping everything the vans did today.
The free tools

Three worksheets, each answering something an owner or office manager has to answer with a number rather than a feeling: what a month of jobs actually invoices, what rescheduling and no shows cost, and what a planned maintenance programme leaves once the technician hours are paid for. They are free, they need no account, and each publishes the worked example it was built from so you can check the arithmetic before you trust it.

  • Field service schedule: Price the day: technicians, jobs each completes, working days, the average invoice, and the share of the day that goes on travel.
  • Scheduling service calls: Price the churn: calls booked, the share rescheduled, the time to rebook one, the dispatcher rate, and the share that never happen.
  • Service scheduling program: Price the programme: customers on an agreement, planned visits a year, hours each takes, the loaded technician rate, and what the agreement charges.
Dispatchzo Pro
