Sherlock Search helps you trace a face online by comparing a single uploaded image against images connected to public web pages. You start with one photo (JPG, PNG, or WebP), review it in your browser, and proceed to a one-time Stripe checkout—there is no subscription. After payment is verified, the server unlocks one private search and report. The report provides possible matches along with a confidence guide (75–100% strong, 50–74% likely, 0–49% unlikely) and includes source-linked leads so you can open the original pages and inspect account details, dates, captions, domains, and surrounding context.
Sherlock Search emphasizes responsible use: similarity scores are not identity proof, and results must be checked against source context and independent corroboration. The service is positioned for tasks like identity self-audits (finding reposts or unexpected exposure), impersonation investigations (detecting reused photos across different names or stories), and comparing an unfamiliar online identity with other public appearances before relying on a name or claimed location. Search media is retained for up to 24 hours, and the payment boundary is explicit—before payment, the selected photo stays in your browser; after payment, the server begins the comparison. If the provider rejects or times out before completing the comparison, the used search credit is restored automatically.
