Planterra takes it further: point your phone through each window once, and it reads the compass direction and computes the sun's real path across your kitchen, bedroom, and every room in between. From day one it knows which corners are bright at noon, which peak at sunset, and which lose light in winter - so every recommendation is grounded in your actual rooms, not a generic care sheet.

Every plant also gets a patient card, a running record of what's been diagnosed and what's actually worked. The built-in Plant Doctor reads that history before every consultation, so when leaves yellow, wilt, or curl, you get answers grounded in your specific plant's full story instead of a one-shot diagnosis.

Beyond placement and diagnosis, Planterra identifies any plant from a photo, tracks watering, fertilizing, and repotting with reminders that fit your rhythm, and includes a Discover tool that measures the actual light in any spot in your home and swipes you through plants that would thrive there. There is also an Atlas - a personal field guide for plants you spot on walks, hikes, and holidays, saved with their location so you can look them up years later.
