GetBirthChart

GetBirthChart is a web-based birth chart calculation and interpretation platform designed for people who want to understand a natal chart without treating astrology as a collection of isolated personality labels.

The platform calculates planetary positions, houses, chart angles, and major aspects from birth data first. That calculated chart is then used as structured input for interpretation, so AI is applied after the chart has been computed rather than being asked to invent planetary positions or chart geometry.

Users can explore a full natal chart, Big Three, Moon and Rising signs, planetary placements, houses, aspects, compatibility, synastry, and yearly forecast tools. The goal is to make chart data easier to understand while keeping the underlying calculation layer separate from the interpretation layer.

Birth-time uncertainty is handled explicitly. If an exact birth time is unavailable, GetBirthChart does not silently invent an Ascendant or house placements. Instead, it leaves out chart factors that depend on precise birth time while continuing to present the parts of the chart that can still be calculated reliably from the available data.

GetBirthChart also publishes its core Python calculation engine as the open-source gbc-astro project. The engine uses Swiss Ephemeris and exposes the calculation layer independently from the consumer-facing interpretation experience, making the technical side easier to inspect, reproduce, and validate.

The product is aimed at both people discovering astrology for the first time and users who want to go beyond simple Sun-sign descriptions into houses, aspects, relationship comparisons, and yearly chart themes.
