Fotoback is an iPhone photo backup app built specifically for parents who want their family's memories kept safe, organized, and genuinely private — without having to think about it.
Privacy first. Every photo is end-to-end encrypted before it ever leaves your phone, so only you hold the key. All photo analysis — milestone detection, wardrobe reading, age tagging — runs entirely on-device. Fotoback does not access, scan, or use your photos to train any AI model, and never will. No ad scanning, no data selling, no exceptions.
It organizes itself. Once you connect your camera roll, Fotoback automatically detects baby photos, sorts them by your child's age into a scrollable growth timeline, and surfaces developmental milestones — first smile, first crawl, first steps — without any manual input. It also produces gentle monthly recaps so you can look back without digging through thousands of unsorted photos.
A wardrobe organiser, built from photos you already have. Fotoback reads the outfits in your existing photos and builds a living clothing inventory for the whole family — no manual photographing of individual items required, unlike most wardrobe apps. It tracks most and least worn pieces, keeps separate profiles for adults and each child, and flags when kids have outgrown something or when a piece of yours hasn't been worn in months.
Set it once, forget it. Backup runs silently in the background using iOS 26's Background Resource Upload extension, so new photos sync even when the app is closed or the phone is locked. Lose or break your phone and your full-resolution archive, timeline, and wardrobe restore intact on any new device — no manual re-upload needed.
Pricing. Fotoback starts free with 5 GB of encrypted backup. Paid plans start at $1.99/month for 100 GB — comparable to iCloud's pricing but with organization iCloud doesn't offer. There's also a one-time Pro App purchase ($24.99) for people who'd rather not subscribe, and a Lifetime 1 TB plan ($199) for long-term peace of mind.
Fotoback is currently in invite-based beta on TestFlight, with a full iOS App Store launch coming soon. Founding-member pricing is locked in for early users who join the waitlist now.
