Face Symmetry Test is an AI-powered web tool that analyzes facial symmetry from uploaded photos, providing detailed symmetry scores, visual reports, and personalized improvement suggestions.
What is Face Symmetry Test?
Face Symmetry Test is a browser-based application that uses computer vision to detect facial landmarks and calculate symmetry scores. Users upload a front-facing photo (PNG or JPG/JPEG), and the AI returns a symmetry percentage, visual guides showing measurements, and actionable tips. The tool is developed and maintained by FaceSymmetryTest and runs entirely in the browser without requiring account creation.
Key Features
- Multi-Point Facial Analysis — Analyzes multiple facial landmarks (eyes, nose, lips, jawline) for a comprehensive symmetry assessment, outputting a single overall symmetry percentage.
- Real-Time Face Rating — Processes uploaded photos in seconds and instantly displays symmetry scores and attractiveness ratings, with no waiting time.
- Visual Symmetry Reports — Generates annotated images that highlight asymmetrical areas and display measurement lines, allowing users to see exactly where differences exist.
- Progress Tracking — Optionally save test results (with user permission) to cloud storage to monitor symmetry changes over weeks or months, with historical comparison charts.
- Facial Harmony Tips — Each report includes personalized, text-based suggestions to address specific asymmetrical features, such as posture adjustments or facial exercises.
- Secure Photo Handling — Photos are encrypted during processing; user can delete them at any time, and no data is stored without explicit consent.
Who is it for?
- Photographers — Use the tool to find the most flattering angles for portrait subjects by analyzing which side of the face is more symmetrical.
- Makeup artists — Apply contouring or highlighting based on symmetry analysis to create balanced, harmonious looks.
- Individuals interested in facial aesthetics — Track changes from facial exercises, skincare routines, or orthodontic treatments and see quantitative progress.
- Cosmetic surgeons and dermatologists — Communicate facial asymmetry findings with patients or clients using the visual reports as a reference.
What can you do with Face Symmetry Test?
- Get an instant symmetry score — Upload a front-facing photo and receive a percentage score (e.g., 92%) that quantifies overall facial symmetry.
- Visualize asymmetrical areas — View the annotated report image that highlights where facial features deviate from perfect symmetry, such as uneven eyebrows or a tilted nose.
- Compare results over time — If you opt to save your tests, track how symmetry changes after treatments, exercises, or aging.
- Improve facial harmony — Follow the personalized tips included in each report, such as exercises for a stronger jawline or suggestions for makeup placement.
How does Face Symmetry Test work?
- Upload a photo — Drag and drop or click to select a clear, front-facing, well-lit image (PNG or JPG) with no obstructions like glasses or hair.
- AI analysis — The tool detects 68+ facial landmarks, measures distances and angles, and calculates symmetry scores using a model trained on diverse faces.
- Receive report — Within seconds, a results page shows the overall symmetry percentage, a visual guide with measurement markers, and a list of improvement tips.
- Optional tracking — Users can save results to their account (if signed up) to compare with future tests.

FAQ
How accurate is the facial symmetry test?
The tool claims high accuracy, using advanced computer vision algorithms trained on a diverse dataset and validated by professionals. Results are consistent for the same photo under identical conditions.
Is my photo data secure?
Yes. Photos are processed securely and are never stored without your explicit permission. All data is encrypted, and you can delete your photos at any time from your account.
How can I get the best results?
Use a front-facing photo with good lighting, a neutral expression, and no obstructions (glasses, hair, shadows). Avoid multiple people in the frame, and ensure the face is not too far away or blurred.
How often should I take the test?
For general tracking, every 3–6 months is recommended. If you are undergoing specific treatments, take the test more frequently to monitor changes, though slight variations in results are normal.
What makes this tool different from other facial analysis tools?
It focuses specifically on symmetry using multiple facial landmarks, provides detailed visual reports with measurement lines, and offers personalized improvement suggestions—unlike generic facial recognition tools that do not analyze symmetry.
