Enhanced Image Viewer is a free Chrome extension that enhances image viewing on any website by enabling zoom, pan, full-screen overlays, and the removal of scrollbars and ads.
What is Enhanced Image Viewer?
It is a browser extension for Chrome that overrides the default image viewer across all websites. Input: any image opened in a browser tab or on supported platforms like Reddit and image hosting sites (ImgBB, imgbox, IMX.to, JPG5, ImageTwist). Output: an interactive view with mouse-wheel zoom, drag-to-pan, a customizable background color, and an optional full-screen overlay that keeps you on the same tab. The extension is developed by an independent team and has earned a 4.5-star rating from over 60,000 users.
Key Features
- Zoom and Pan — Zoom into high-resolution images using the mouse wheel and drag to pan across every detail, ideal for large infographics and diagrams.
- Clean View — Hide scrollbars to reclaim screen space and change the background color for a personalized, distraction-free experience.
- Same Tab Overlay — View images in an overlay on the current tab instead of opening new tabs, reducing clutter and keeping context.
