Veldo is a macOS app for App Store keyword decisions, joining organic rank, Apple Ads spend, and revenue on your Mac to give every keyword a verdict: bid, pause, or double down.
Veldo is a native macOS application (requires macOS 14 or later) for App Store keyword decision-making, built for indie developers and ASO practitioners. It takes your app names, competitor apps, and Apple Ads account as input, and outputs per-keyword verdicts with supporting evidence — rank movement, spend, revenue, popularity, and suggested actions. All data stays in a local SQLite database, and Apple Ads/RevenueCat credentials are stored in the macOS Keychain.
Verdict engine — Three signals (organic rank, ad spend, revenue) are joined per keyword into one 30-day picture, producing four verdicts: Double down, Bid opportunity, Cannibalizing, and Money pit, each with the evidence shown beneath it. Metadata push — Draft title, subtitle, and keyword field per market with live character counts and keyword coverage, then push to your next App Store Connect version without leaving the app. 60+ storefronts — Track any market Apple serves; switch an entire keyword set to a new country in one click, and ranks collect per storefront automatically. On-device translation — Hover over a Japanese or German keyword to read it in English using Apple's on-device translation; no API key and nothing leaves your Mac. Apple's own popularity — Pulls search popularity directly from the Apple Ads API, plus a difficulty score based on the strength of the current top 10. Keyword discovery & gap — Find the keywords an app actually ranks for, run it on a competitor, see what they rank for that you don't, and adopt with one click. Menu bar & watchdog — Yesterday's spend and revenue at a glance, with notifications when a verdict flips or new reviews land. CLI & MCP server — Query local Veldo data from scripts or compatible AI clients via a read-only MCP server; agents cannot change campaigns.
Indie iOS developers — Managing App Store keyword strategy for a few apps and wanting to direct Apple Search Ads budget without spreadsheet wrangling. ASO specialists — Running keyword research and competitor gap analysis across multiple apps and storefronts, needing a single table that joins rank, spend, and revenue. App marketing teams — That want clear verdicts (bid, pause, double down) on every keyword, backed by local data that stays private.
Indie developers: Monitor daily rank changes and get notified when a verdict flips, so you know when to test a bid change or pause a money-pit keyword. Competitor researchers: Add competing apps, see their ranking keywords, and one-click adopt the gap terms you are missing across 60+ storefronts. Localization managers: Track the same keyword set across new countries, hover to translate keywords on-device, and push localized metadata to App Store Connect.
Veldo follows a three-step workflow. First, add your apps and competitors by searching the App Store — Veldo discovers keywords each app ranks for and shows the gap you are missing. Second, it collects evidence daily: organic ranks, Apple Ads spend, installs, and Apple search popularity, attributing revenue per keyword into one 30-day view. Third, it produces a verdict for each keyword (double down, bid opportunity, cannibalizing, money pit) and notifies you when verdicts flip.
Veldo is a paid Mac app with a license key. Two plans unlock everything — the app, menu bar helper, CLI, and MCP server: yearly at $99 per year (billed annually, effectively $8.25/month) or monthly at $8.99 per month. Both include unlimited apps and keywords, 60+ storefronts, no percentage of ad spend, and a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Veldo requires macOS 14 or later. Connect your Apple Ads account for paid data; optionally connect RevenueCat for revenue-aware verdicts. Rank, popularity, spend, and install verdicts still work without RevenueCat — revenue fields remain unavailable until it is connected.
Organic rankings refresh daily and are spread across the day to respect App Store request limits. Apple Ads and RevenueCat data refresh more frequently.
Your spend, revenue, credentials, and database stay on your Mac. One optional exception: community keywords — Veldo clients pool anonymous rank observations (keyword text, storefront, and the public top-200 ranking) with no identifiers attached; you can turn this off in Settings → Community.
No. The MCP server is read-only by default. Agents cannot directly pause campaigns or change bids.
