Skills.lc is an open ecosystem platform for discovering, sharing, and installing reusable AI agent skills, designed specifically for coding assistants.
Skills.lc is a community-driven registry of over 701,600 reusable skills for AI coding assistants. It takes a GitHub repository that contains a skill definition and packages it into an installable add-on, then tracks install counts and activity across 274.9 million total installs. The platform runs entirely through a command-line tool, npx skills-lc-cli, and supports five AI agents: Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, Windsurf, and Roo Code. Skills are contributed by individual developers and organizations via standard GitHub repositories.
npx skills-lc-cli add <owner/repo> (also available as bunx and pnpm), which fetches the repo and configures it for your agent.npx skills-lc-cli add <owner/repo> to install, for example, a commit skill that generates commit messages from current changes, or a security-review skill.npx skills-lc-cli add <owner/repo> and the skill becomes part of the shared ecosystem.To add a skill, you run a single command in your terminal: npx skills-lc-cli add <owner/repo>. The CLI retrieves the skill from the specified GitHub repository and installs it into your AI agent's skill directory. You can then invoke that skill through your assistant's normal interface, and the platform updates its install counters to reflect the installation.

Skills.lc works with Claude Code from Anthropic, OpenAI's Codex CLI, Cursor, Windsurf, and Roo Code. Each agent has a dedicated integration guide on the site, and the same skill can typically be used across multiple agents because they follow a shared skill format.
