ShipDR is a backlink verification and tracking tool for directory submissions that uses real maker-proven data to show which directories actually deliver dofollow backlinks.
What is ShipDR?
ShipDR is a web-based backlink tracker for directory submissions. It takes a website URL as input and produces a verified backlink report showing which directories have live, dofollow backlinks, along with alerts for drops and nofollow flips. The tool is built by an independent maker (no company name stated) and works best on desktop browsers.
Key Features
- Maker-proven data — Every directory stat comes from real makers submitting real products, verified by a checker that reads the listing page itself. No opinions, no paid placements.
- Continuous verification — Backlinks are checked on a risk-based schedule (hot backlinks every 6 hours, any one instantly on demand). JS pages are rendered in a real browser.
- Drop and nofollow alerts — Silent failures like dropped backlinks, nofollow flips, or submissions that never go live are caught in hours and shown in the activity log.
- Badge board — Tracks both sides of badge swaps: what each badge bought you and when reciprocal links start crowding your profile. Shows reciprocal share percentage.
- DR history chart — Daily domain rating history from Ahrefs, plus a calendar of your own moves.
- Existing backlink scan — On day one, your website's backlink profile is read and every existing listing in the tracked pool is verified immediately.
Who is it for?
- Indie makers — Submit products to directories and need to confirm which ones actually delivered a dofollow backlink.
- SEO professionals — Track backlink quality from directory submissions and get alerted to drops or nofollow flips.
- Product hunters — Who want to grow their domain rating by finding maker-proven directories that reliably list products.
What can you do with ShipDR?
- Track directory submissions — Add your website and see a live status of every directory you've submitted to, updated in near real-time.
- Verify backlinks instantly — Click any directory to recheck its listing page and see if your backlink is still live, dofollow, and indexable.
- Monitor badge swaps — For badge-based directories, see what your homepage gives in return and track the reciprocal link balance.
How does ShipDR work?
- A maker submits their product to a directory and records the submission.
- ShipDR fetches the listing page and reads it: backlink present, rel value, indexability. JS pages use a real browser.
- The verdict (live/dropped, dofollow/nofollow) is added to the directory's stats.
- Your dashboard shows all tracked directories with live counts, backlink types, and prices actually paid.
Pricing
ShipDR costs $10 once per website, no subscription. One seat unlocks the full ledger and tracks one site's backlinks indefinitely.
FAQ
How does ShipDR verify a backlink?
It fetches the listing page and reads it: is your backlink there, what rel it carries, and whether the page lets Google index it. JS-rendered pages go through a real browser. Checks follow risk: a submission awaiting verdict is read every 6 hours.
What does maker-proven mean?
Makers record real submissions of their own products, the checker fetches the listing page and verifies the backlink, and every verdict feeds that directory's stats. Directories cannot pay to be listed or ranked.
Do directory backlinks still work for SEO?
Some do, most do not. Google devalues backlinks from junk directories rather than penalizing them. Backlinks from real, maintained directories still pass value and send referral traffic. ShipDR's pool is hand-audited and ranked by maker-proven results.
Can I see the data before paying?
Yes. Browse the directories and a sample dashboard without an account: three directories show in full with maker-proven data, and the pool size is stated honestly.
