Resource Tuner is a Windows resource editor for viewing, modifying, and extracting resources from executable files without access to source code.
Resource Tuner is a desktop application for Windows (11/10/8/7/XP, 32-bit and 64-bit) that lets you open executable files—EXE, DLL, MUN, SYS, ACM, OCX, SCR, MSSTYLES, and binary .RES—and inspect, extract, replace, edit, or delete their embedded resources such as icons, strings, images, dialogs, menus, version information, and more. Developed by Heaventools, it works on compiled PE files and does not require recompilation.
Resource Tuner offers a 30-day free trial (no credit card required). Paid licenses are one-time payments: Personal (Home) License for $49.95 per user (non-commercial use) and Business License for $89.95 per user (commercial, academic, or government). Each purchase includes 12 months of updates and technical support; renewals are available.
Yes. Resource Tuner modifies the compiled resources directly—no source code or recompilation needed.
EXE, DLL, MUN, SYS, ACM, OCX, SCR, MSSTYLES, and binary .RES files, both 32-bit and 64-bit.
Programs compiled with Visual Basic or .NET store their UI in non-standard formats, so only icons and version info are available for editing.
Yes, Resource Tuner Console is a separate script-driven tool for automating resource edits.
The trial is fully functional for 30 days with no feature restrictions. After the trial, you must purchase a license to continue using the software.
