Pips Game is a free daily logic puzzle that combines domino placement with numerical constraints on a 5×5 grid, offering one handcrafted challenge per day.
Pips Game is a web-based daily puzzle where players cover a 5×5 board (18 usable squares, 7 holes) with 9 dominoes, each covering two adjacent squares. The board is divided into colored regions, each with a rule badge (e.g., all squares equal, all different, sum equals a target, or sum less/greater than a number). The goal is to satisfy every region’s rule by placing all dominoes without overlaps or covering holes. The puzzle is generated by a time-seeded algorithm (UTC) and preserved in local storage for resumption. It is an independent project by Pip Games (no company name specified).
Each day, a unique grid is generated from a solved state (backward-solve algorithm). Players see a board with numbered cells (pips from 0 to 6), region boundaries with badges, and a rack of unused dominoes. Drag a domino onto two adjacent usable squares; the domino snaps into place. Continue until all 18 squares are covered. If all region rules are met, the puzzle is solved. Undo moves by clicking placed dominoes.
Yes, it is completely free to play with no ads or in-app purchases.
No, the game uses browser local storage to save progress; no registration is required.
Yes, each board is generated from a solved state, guaranteeing at least one logical solution path.
Exactly one daily puzzle, synchronized worldwide via UTC.
Your current board state is automatically saved in local storage, so you can resume later that day.
