Let's Hang is a web and Android app for organising small group hangouts: you create a "table", send one link to your people, and the plan only goes ahead once a minimum number of seats are filled.

What is Let's Hang?

Let's Hang is a meetup organiser where a plan is confirmed only when enough people accept it. You create a hangout — in person (volleyball, dinner, a hike) or online — set a minimum number of seats, and share a single link. Until that minimum is reached, nobody is committed; once it fills, the lights go on and everyone involved gets a calendar invite. It runs in the browser with nothing to install and rooms opening on the page, and there is a free Android app on Google Play; an iPhone app is listed as in review at Apple. Feedback on the site goes directly to Primož, the maker behind the @letshang account.

What makes Let's Hang stand out?

• Minimum-seat commitment — every table has a threshold (the homepage shows tables sitting at 1 of 3 seats); until it fills, the hangout is not happening and nobody is on the hook.
• Online rooms that open in the page — video tables have cameras, chat alongside and background blur if the kitchen is a mess; chat-only tables have no camera at all and add reactions, mentions and a bot that keeps it kind.

How does Let's Hang work?

There are three steps: pick a topic and set a table (or find one), wait until enough people join — every table has a minimum, and until it fills nobody is committed — then the lights go on and you meet, with the room opening on the page for online tables. If a table doesn't fill, it is called off before the deadline, everyone gets a kind note, and the host can try again a week later with one click.

FAQ

Do I have to show up if I grab a seat?

No. Until a table reaches its minimum seat count, the hangout is not happening and nobody is committed. If it fails to fill, it is called off before the deadline, everyone gets a note, and the host can retry a week later.

What can I do in an online room?

Online tables open right on the page with nothing to install. Video tables show everyone's camera with chat beside it and background blur; chat tables have no camera and add reactions and mentions. Both support screen sharing with sound and nine built-in games.

Does it work across time zones?

The "Find a time together" option has everyone mark the hours they can make in their own local time. You see where the overlaps fall, and the table is set for the hour most people can attend, delivered in each participant's own local time.

Who can see my email or my location?

Nobody at the table sees your email — people see your nickname, your drawn avatar and whatever you put on your card. For in-person hangouts, the venue and directions are visible only to the people in that hangout.
