Lessonvo

The timetable, the register and the term invoices for a music teaching studio

Introduction

Music lesson scheduling software for a small teaching studio

Lessonvo is for the person who runs the teaching rather than the person learning to play: the owner of a studio with a few teachers on the roster, and the private piano, guitar, violin, drum or voice teacher carrying thirty pupils in a paper diary and a text thread. The free rate card works out what a half hour is worth to your studio, what a term of them comes to and what is left after the teacher's split, the room and the travel. Lessonvo Pro keeps the timetable, the pupil register, the attendance and the make-up lessons, and the term invoices in one place, so who owes for what is answered by the record instead of by memory.

For studios with more than one teacher

When two or three teachers share a room and a waiting list, the timetable stops being a diary and starts being a question of who was taught by whom and who owes for it. Pro keeps that as the record.

What Lessonvo keeps for a studio between one term and the next
  • Every lesson has a pupil, a teacher and a time. A diary tells you what today looks like. The timetable here tells you which pupil sits with which teacher every week of the term, so a teacher leaving or a room changing is a change you make once rather than thirty texts.
  • Taught, missed or made up, marked on the day. The argument at the end of term is always about the lessons nobody wrote down. Marking each one as it happens turns that argument into a list, and the make-up lesson into a booking instead of a promise.
  • Billed from what was taught, not what was planned. The invoice adds up the register: the lessons taught at the rate on the pupil's record, with the missed ones treated the way your policy says. It prints with the studio's name on it and exports whenever you want it.
Lessonvo Pro

Upgrading turns the sheet into the register. The rate you settled on becomes the rate on the pupil's record; each lesson in the timetable is marked taught, missed or made up on the day; and the term invoice adds up what was actually taught rather than what was planned. Export is always available, so the register and the invoice history are yours whether or not you stay. Lessonvo Pro is $16 per month for the whole studio, billed monthly.
