LayerGrab turns a flat PNG, JPG or WebP (AI posters, client files, screenshots) into up to 16 transparent, named layers plus a filled background. Export PNG, ZIP or layered PSD. Works on the web and via Figma, Photoshop, Sketch and Chrome plugins. First run free; then from $12/month.
LayerGrab is an AI image-to-layers tool. Drop, paste, or browse a PNG, JPG, or WebP up to 20 MB: a poster, a product banner, an AI image, a client file, or a screenshot. In about 60–100 seconds, text, products, and graphics each become their own transparent layer with a readable English name, and the background behind them is filled in so moving a piece does not leave a hole.
You can split a whole image into up to 16 named layers, or name one element (the main character, the product, the logo, or the headline text) and pull that object out as a transparent PNG. Typical full splits land around 7–10 layers. The site shows real results, not mockups: coffee shop posters, product banners, social posts, AI illustrations, report slides, and flat-lay photos, each with a filled background layer plus the named pieces.
Every layer can be copied into Figma, Photoshop, or Canva, downloaded as PNG, or exported with the rest as a ZIP or a layered PSD. The same workflow runs on the web at https://layergrab.com and through the Photoshop, Figma, and Sketch plugins plus a Chrome extension.
Pricing is freemium. The first run is free; after that, plans start from $12/month. Contact: Lewis Lee, [email protected]. Backlink page: https://layergrab.com.
