Image to STL Converter is a free online tool that converts 2D images (PNG, JPG, WebP, SVG, GIF, BMP) into watertight binary STL files for 3D printing, all running entirely in the browser without any uploads.
It is a browser-based converter that takes common image formats and outputs STL meshes suitable for slicing in Bambu Studio, Cura, PrusaSlicer, and Orca. It offers four free modes: Photo Relief, Logo Extrude, Lithophane, and Keychain, plus a paid AI Full 3D mode. All processing uses Canvas and WebGL on-device; images never leave the device for free modes.
Three steps: 1) Drop or paste an image (PNG, JPG, WebP, etc.). 2) Choose a mode (Relief, Extrude, Lithophane, Keychain) and adjust settings via sliders. 3) Download the watertight STL and slice in your preferred 3D printing software.
Yes. All four modes (Photo Relief, Logo Extrude, Lithophane, Keychain) are free with no watermarks, no account, and no limits. The AI Full 3D mode is paid.
No. For free modes, processing happens locally using Canvas and WebGL. The AI Full 3D mode sends the image to a generation provider.
PNG, JPG, WebP, SVG, GIF, and BMP. PNG or SVG with transparent background gives best results for logos.
Yes. The exported mesh is closed, manifold, with a solid base. It slices cleanly in Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, and Orca.
A lithophane is a thin 3D printed panel where thickness varies with photo brightness. When backlit, the image appears. Print in white PLA at 100% infill, standing vertically.
