The html contact form, written for you, and an endpoint to post it to
Two things stand between a static page and a working contact form, and neither of them is hard once you have seen it done. The first is the markup: a form element with a method, an action, one labelled control per thing you want to know, and a submit button. The second is the part a static host cannot give you, which is somewhere for the browser to post that form to. The generators on this site write the first part and print it on the page for you to copy. Endpointo Pro is the second.
Where the submission goes
The generator writes the form. Endpointo Pro is the endpoint it posts to: it emails you every submission, keeps the files that came with it, and holds the lot where you can search and export it.
It writes the form, catches what the form posts, and keeps it
- The generator prints HTML you would have written yourself. Name the fields and the output is a plain form element with a label per control, the right input types, required where you asked for it and a submit button. No wrapper divs you did not ask for, no framework, nothing to install.
- Point the action at Endpointo and the posts arrive. A static site has nowhere to post a form. Change the action attribute to the endpoint Endpointo gives you and the submission is validated, emailed to you and stored, without a server of your own or a function to deploy.
- Every submission stays where you can find it. Email is a bad filing cabinet. Each submission is kept with its uploaded files and its timestamp, searchable and exportable, so a form you shipped a year ago still has its history when somebody asks.
Endpointo Pro
The markup is only half a working form. Point its action at Endpointo and the posts start arriving in your inbox, with every submission and its uploads kept in one place you can search and export. Endpointo Pro is $19.00 per month for your whole team, billed monthly.
