Apex Trader Funding advertises evaluation prices, but the total path to a funded account can also include multiple attempts, activation, and different pass rates. Trader Payout's Apex Cost Calculator estimates the expected cost of reaching a funded account by combining evaluation fees, pass odds, and activation costs into one figure, replacing a simple sticker-price comparison with a risk-adjusted cost estimate.
How it works
The calculator models 16 Apex account configurations using three controls: drawdown type, plan, and account size. Users can compare Intraday Trail and EOD Trail options, Standard and No Activation Fee plans, and 25K, 50K, 100K, and 150K accounts.
Pass-rate settings include Rookie (20%), Grinder (35%), Consistent (55%), and Sniper (75%), with a custom pass-rate control also available. The tool converts a pass rate into expected evaluation attempts, includes retry spending, and adds the one-time activation fee where applicable. Its cost receipt shows evaluation spend, activation, profit target, maximum drawdown, and expected total cost. It also ranks all modeled accounts by expected cost and calculates cost per $1,000 of drawdown.
Why it's different
The usual way to compare prop firm accounts is checking listed evaluation prices manually, or comparing plans only by their advertised entry fee. That approach doesn't account for the likelihood of needing multiple evaluation attempts, or the one-time activation charge once funded. This calculator is focused specifically on Apex Trader Funding and compares paths using expected total cost, including the difference between Standard and No Activation Fee plans.
Built by Trader Payout
This tool is part of Trader Payout, an independent platform that tracks and verifies prop firm payouts on-chain via the Rise (RiseUSD) token on Arbitrum, rather than relying on self-reported claims. The platform currently tracks 800+ verified Apex Trader Funding payouts, with the same commitment to transparent, checkable data reflected in this calculator's methodology.
