Tentaco is a privacy-first browser toolbox with 467+ tools across 24 studios for handling PDFs, images, videos, code, and more — all processed locally on your device, with no uploads, no account, and no cloud.
Tentaco is a local-first web application that runs a broad collection of document, media, and development utilities entirely inside your browser. It takes files (PDFs, images, videos, audio) as input and outputs processed or converted files, while also offering interactive studios for code editing and PDF manipulation. The platform works on any device with a modern browser, supports 17 languages, and is offered by the Tentaco team (available at tentaco.cc). Thanks to its architecture, files never have to leave your computer, and you don't need to create an account to start working.
The workflow is simple: you either drop a file onto the homepage, choose one of the 24 studios, or search for a specific tool using the command palette (Ctrl+K). Once inside a studio, you work in a focused interface that groups related tools. The platform processes files locally by default, so your data stays on your device. If a particular tool requires server-side processing, you’ll see an option to activate it — but that’s not the default behavior.
No. Tentaco states that files do not leave your browser. The default mode is fully local, with server activation only available for specific tools when you choose to enable it.
No account is required. You can start using the tools immediately, which also means there’s no sign-up friction or personal data stored on Tentaco’s servers.
Tentaco works with PDFs, images, videos, and audio files. The homepage drop zone accepts these types and routes them to the appropriate studio so you can process or convert them.
Tentaco offers over 467 tools organized into 24 studios. The studios cover PDF work, image editing, video processing, HTML development, and more than 10 additional categories.
