TallyNexa is an analytics and AI app for TallyPrime that reads your Tally companies through a small Windows connector and turns the vouchers into live dashboards, GST checks, receivables ageing and plain-language answers from an assistant called Nexa AI.
What is TallyNexa?
TallyNexa is a web analytics platform layered on top of TallyPrime accounting data. A 21 MB Windows connector installed on the computer that runs Tally reads each company through Tally's own gateway (no TDL) and sends new vouchers onward within minutes, so nothing is typed or exported twice. The synced copy becomes dashboards, 41 reports with Excel exports, GSTR-1/3B/9 workings, a 13-week cash flow plan, TDS checks, WhatsApp summaries and Nexa AI answers. Data is held on servers in India and encrypted in transit; each account sees only its own books, and each person inside an account sees only what the admin allows. It is built for TallyPrime specifically — books still on Tally ERP 9 need a check with the vendor before purchase.
What makes TallyNexa stand out?
- Tally connector — reads TallyPrime companies continuously and pushes each new voucher within minutes; no export files, no TDL, no manual entry.
- GST and TDS work built from vouchers — GSTR-1, 3B and 9 assembled from the books with every figure opening its underlying bills, a bill-by-bill GSTR-2B reconciliation against the purchase register, and TDS section, rate and missing-deduction checks.
- Receivables and collections — ageing bands (within terms, 1–30, 31–90, over 90 days) by party, with reminders and a call-first ordering.
- 13-week cash flow plan — week-by-week receipts, payments, available cash and undrawn bank limits measured against a minimum you set.
- Nexa AI — questions in plain words answered from the ledger with each figure traced back to the books; it also produces PowerPoint decks, Word notes and Excel workbooks in your branding, and can mail them on a schedule (for example a monthly review on the 2nd).
- Bills to entries — photograph or upload purchase bills as PDF or images, up to 50 at a time; Nexa reads supplier, items, GST and totals for you to confirm before the voucher is posted to Tally (posting requires a Business plan or above).
- WhatsApp menu — ten topics (today, cash and bank, who owes me, what I owe, sales, profit, stock, GST and TDS, find a party, more) answered from the books with a timestamp of the last Tally sync.
- MCP connector for AI assistants — one address,
https://tallynexa.ai/mcp, connects the books to Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, where it answers inside your role and changes nothing unless you approve.
Who should use TallyNexa?
- Owners and partners of small and mid-sized trading or manufacturing businesses — check the day's sales, collections, bank balance and dues from a phone each morning instead of opening Tally.
- Accounts and finance teams closing the month — run the month-end checklist, reconcile GSTR-2B bill by bill, and export any of the 41 reports to Excel.
- Credit controllers chasing receivables — sort the ageing report to see which dealers are past 90 days and fire reminders from the app.
- CA firms and multi-company groups — read several companies, branches and financial years as one business, with group accounts on the Group plan.
What can you do with TallyNexa?
- Owners on the move: ask "who owes me" or "is there enough cash for this week's payments" on WhatsApp and get an answer with the last sync time.
- Finance leads preparing a board pack: ask Nexa AI for the September review in your colours and receive a 12-slide deck plus PDF, or an ageing workbook with live formulas.
- Purchase clerks: photograph a stack of supplier bills and confirm the drafted vouchers rather than keying them.
- Analysts: build a custom screen in the builder (or describe it to Nexa) and pin it as its own tab.
How does TallyNexa work?
- Install the connector on the Windows machine that runs Tally; it installs per-user, needs no administrator password, starts with Windows and self-updates.
- The connector reads Tally companies through Tally's gateway and syncs new vouchers within minutes.
- Sign in to the web app or WhatsApp to use dashboards, reports, GST checks and Nexa AI on the synced copy.

FAQ
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new account gets 15 days of whichever plan it starts on, with every screen open, 100 Nexa credits and 50 bill pages. No card is needed and nothing is charged when the trial ends.
Does TallyNexa post entries into Tally?
Only on paid plans above Insight. On Insight and during the trial, entries and invoices created from bills are saved as drafts and never written to Tally; Business and Group add posting with approvals.
Which AI assistants can reach my books?
Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini connect through an MCP server address you paste into their settings. Availability depends on the assistant: in ChatGPT a custom MCP server depends on your plan and, in a workspace, on its admin, and Gemini's custom apps are open to personal Google accounts in the US for now.
Where is my data stored?
On TallyNexa's servers in India, encrypted in transit, with each account isolated to its own books and each user limited to the role the admin assigns.
Does it work with Tally ERP 9?
No. TallyNexa is built for TallyPrime and reads it through Tally's own gateway without TDL. Books still on Tally ERP 9 should be checked with the vendor before buying.
