Tactile UI is a library of interface objects that work like the hardware they're drawn from. The odometer carries like a real one: 1,099 to 1,100 rolls three drums over together. The Chladni plate adds up the plate's real modes, so turning the knob onto a resonance makes the sand draw the figure. The pin screen is pins on springs you can press a word into.
Sections and a UI kit
Around the objects are 52 website sections built from them, and a UI kit with no brand colour: finishes like aluminium, porcelain, oak and black anodised, where colour only shows up when a lamp is lit. One switch flips the whole kit between light and dark.
How it installs
Vanilla JS and CSS with no dependencies, plus React, Vue and Svelte wrappers and a custom element. It installs with the shadcn CLI, and the kit ships with the rules Claude or Cursor read before they build with it, so whatever your agent adds still looks like the kit.
Free and paid
Every object plays free on the site, and the home page plays them for everyone. Six pieces, the Odometer among them, are free and MIT, with no account. The Pass is the source and a licence: $99 once for the first 50 founder seats, $129 for the next 50, then $199, tax included. At $99, a full refund within 30 days, for any reason.
A roadmap you vote on
Every week there's a vote on what gets made next, and the winner gets made that week.
