Room Service

Room Service is a native macOS app for understanding and controlling a developer Mac.

It combines disk cleanup, project insight, local server monitoring, recurring cleanup routines, system health signals, and privacy-first review flows in one focused desktop utility. Instead of treating everything as generic “junk,” Room Service organizes storage into meaningful categories so users can see what is actually taking space before they remove anything.

The app scans common macOS cleanup areas as well as developer-heavy storage such as Xcode data, Docker storage, package manager caches, code editor caches, node_modules, Python environments, Android artifacts, build outputs, app leftovers, duplicates, privacy traces, startup items, and other rebuildable files.

Room Service also goes beyond traditional cleanup. Projects helps users understand why local repositories get large. Dev Ports shows active local development servers, whether they are LAN-shareable, and offers quick actions such as opening, stopping, copying a LAN URL, or showing a QR code. Build Watchers can surface long-running or resource-heavy build and watch processes. Recipes turns repeated cleanup tasks into reusable routines. Smart Advisor ranks what deserves attention and links users directly to the right workspace.

Safety and privacy are central to the product. Scanning and review are free, cleanup actions are deliberate, Quarantine makes restores possible, and file contents, project data, and scan results stay on the user’s Mac.
