PixelGrid is a generative pixel-grid art tool that runs entirely in the browser. Every piece is a pure function of a numeric seed plus a set of pattern parameters, so the same seed and settings always reproduce the same artwork. Nothing is uploaded to a server — the whole thing renders on an HTML canvas client-side.
Pick an aspect ratio (from 9:16 to 16:9) and a grid resolution from 8 to 72 cells, then either apply a Look preset — Patchwork, Bloom, Quilt, Scatter, or Drift — or hand-tune the underlying pattern directly: zoom, fill, grain, patchiness, blockiness, block size, and speckle. Add mirror or kaleidoscope symmetry, choose how each filled cell is drawn (square, rectangle, circle, triangle, diamond, or a mix of all five), and stamp cell marks — dots, rings, squares, or wedges — on top at a chosen amount and size.
Color comes from six riso-style palettes (Riso, Bloom, Pool, Quilt, Acid, Mono), or edit the swatches, background, and ink color by hand, shuffle them, or add and remove colors directly. A photo can also be uploaded as a base layer: it's pixelated to the grid client-side and never leaves the device, with the generative pattern and cell marks drawing on top of it. Turn on Motion to animate the pattern drifting in place, or hit the seed field's New button (or just press space) to reroll.
Finished pieces export as PNG or SVG at a chosen resolution up to 4000px, or as a 4-second WebM video loop when Motion is on.
