What is Inkling?
Inkling is a native notes app that lives in your MacBook's notch. Hover the notch or press Option-N, jot the thought down, and Command-Return tucks it away. A small companion called Ink gives a nod.
Notes, checklists and tables stay on your Mac, with optional iCloud sync.
$12 once, with a 24-hour free trial. Use it on up to 3 Macs.
For the moments between everything
You had a thought. Keep going with your day. Hover over your notch or press Option-N, jot it down, and press Command-Return. Ink gives a little nod as your note tucks away, and you can come back to the same note when you need it.
What is inside
- Room for more: headings, checkboxes, links, highlights, quotes, code and tables, all from the notch.
- Tables: add rows and columns, move with Tab, or paste cells from a spreadsheet.
- Templates: start with a daily scratchpad, meeting, project or journal, or save a useful note as your own template.
- A way back: pin what matters, find a phrase, follow a tag or a link to another note, and revisit a previous version.
- Ink: a pair of curious eyes in your notch. Choose Lively, Calm or Still.
- Two themes and five accent colors.
Your words, your Mac
Notes live on your Mac, and writing and searching work offline. Sync between your Macs through your own iCloud if you want it. No Inkling account and no analytics. Import Markdown, and export notes as Markdown, rich text or PDF. It also works on Macs without a notch, with a virtual notch.
