Indie Apps is a curated web directory of iOS apps made by solo developers, cataloging 217 apps from 138 independent makers and ranking each week's new arrivals on a public Debuts board.
Indie Apps is a browser-based directory that lists apps built by single developers rather than teams or companies — its tagline reads "the good apps nobody told you about. Every one made by a single developer. No teams, no companies, no growth targets." The site catalogs 217 apps from 138 developers, grouped by category (Games, Utilities, Graphics & Design, Health & Fitness, Food & Drink, Lifestyle, Productivity, Social Networking) and by date added. Every entry links to the app's App Store page, and the home page is filled by three elements: a Spotlight app, four paid Featured slots, and a Recently added feed.
Indie Apps serves two audiences: people hunting for small, developer-made iOS apps, and solo developers who want their app in front of that audience.
Free submission covers a page of its own in its category, a spot on the developer page, inclusion in search, eligibility for the Debuts board, and a badge for your own site, with no link back required and no approval queue. Paid tiers add a week in the featured row (Featured) or a week at the very top of the home page with nothing else rotated alongside it (Spotlight).
Browsing and standard listing are free forever; the site notes listings are "free while the directory fills up" and that nothing is charged today. Two paid placement tiers exist: Featured at $4.99 per week (launch price) and Spotlight at $9.99 per week (launch price), both adding a named badge that the developer keeps after the week ends.
General app-discovery sites such as Product Hunt and AlternativeTo cover software of every kind; Indie Apps restricts its catalog to apps made by a single developer.
Browsing costs nothing, and listing an app is free forever: a page of its own in its category, a developer page entry, search visibility, and eligibility for the Debuts board, with no link back required and no approval queue.
Featured placement costs $4.99 per week and Spotlight $9.99 per week, both marked as launch prices. Featured buys a week in the home-page featured row; Spotlight adds the top slot on the home page, shown larger and never shared with another app.
The footer counter shows 217 apps from 138 developers, with 811 visits recorded from 56 countries. Entries are grouped into categories including Games, Utilities, Graphics & Design, Health & Fitness, Food & Drink, Lifestyle, Productivity, and Social Networking.
Everything from daily puzzle sets like Supertime Games and text-message exporters like TextTrace to health widgets such as Glance Vitals and plant-care tools like Botanicaly. Each listing links to the app's App Store page, so the catalog is iOS-focused.
It publishes country-level visit counts and a 7-day country chart, but states it records "country and page only. No cookies, no accounts, nothing that names anyone."
