Blur & Unblur AI is a free private tool for blurring faces in photos before sharing them online. It is built around one focused workflow: detect faces, choose which faces should be hidden, adjust the blur strength, and download a clean PNG. The goal is not to be a general-purpose image editor. The goal is to make face privacy fast, simple, and local. Most people only need to blur faces when they are about to publish a screenshot, group photo, street photo, school event image, meetup picture, testimonial, or community gallery. Opening a large design app or uploading a private image to a cloud editor feels unnecessary for that job. Blur & Unblur AI keeps the workflow inside the browser. The photo is decoded, previewed, edited, and exported locally with browser APIs. The editor can automatically detect faces and create editable face masks. If the detector finds an extra region, you can remove it. If it misses a face, you can switch to lasso mode and draw a manual mask around the face. This makes the tool useful for real photos where faces may be small, angled, partially covered, or poorly lit. The blur effect is clipped to the selected face masks, so the rest of the image can stay readable. Blur & Unblur AI also includes adjustable blur strength, selected-face controls, optional full-photo blur, and clean PNG export. The downloaded image does not include editor boxes, dashed frames, lasso paths, or guide overlays. It is designed for quick privacy edits before publishing, sending, or archiving a photo. Privacy is the main reason the tool exists. Source photos are not uploaded to a processing server by this app. The workflow is client-side, browser-based, and focused on giving people a practical way to blur faces before sharing images publicly.
