Artifactor is a free Chrome extension that gives you a visual editor for AI-generated HTML artifacts, letting you polish, present, and print them without writing code.
Artifactor is a visual HTML editor packaged as a free Chrome extension. It opens HTML files produced by AI tools—like a Claude artifact or an AI-written report—and displays them in an editable canvas. You can click any text, drag elements, change theme colors, and swap fonts, then present on screen or export a PDF whose page breaks match the document outline. The maker, colliber.com, distributes it via the Chrome Web Store and also supplies a companion skill for Claude.
Artifactor’s core capabilities all run locally in the browser:
/artifactor Claude skill — Installable skill that gives Claude artifacts palette panels, font pickers, block editing, and clean PDF export out of the box.People who work with AI-generated web documents can benefit from this editor:
Here are concrete tasks Artifactor supports:
Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store, click the Artifactor button in Chrome’s toolbar on the document you want to edit, and it becomes a local file you can edit in place. For Claude users, adding the /artifactor skill from the Artifactor website activates full-strength editing features on every new artifact. The skill can be added on claude.ai under Settings › Capabilities › Skills, or unzipped to ~/.claude/skills for Claude Code.
Artifactor is free to install from the Chrome Web Store, and the /artifactor Claude skill download is also free. The page does not mention any paid tiers, accounts, or trial requirements.
Yes. Download the artifact as an HTML file or click the Artifactor toolbar button from the artifact page. It becomes a file on your machine, and every edit saves in place with no chat required.
Open the artifact in Artifactor and use the export/print feature. Page shape and breaks are derived from the document’s own outline, so content blocks stay intact.
Any self-contained HTML file opens, regardless of which AI generated it. Proactive integrations such as the /artifactor skill are Claude-first but the editor itself is format-agnostic.
It’s the marker shown on documents saved with Artifactor, indicating a person completed the edits. The badge is free to remove per document in Settings.
