ShardStitch is local-first software for developers, freelancers, software agencies and engineering teams working with AI coding tools. It helps preserve useful working state when a session ends, reaches a usage limit, becomes too bloated or needs to move to another tool.
Instead of relying on a long conversation transcript, ShardStitch builds a focused continuation packet from surviving project evidence. This can include Git changes, changed files, recent commits, saved decisions, failed attempts, verification results and the next action.
A working tree shows what changed, but it does not always explain why. Saved constraints and rejected approaches help an incoming session avoid repeating unsuccessful work. ShardStitch distinguishes verified evidence from inferred information so the next coding tool knows what has been checked and what still needs verification.
It supports handoff formatting for 31 AI coding targets and offers CLI, desktop, editor-extension and MCP workflows. Users can restart in the same supported tool or prepare a handoff for another.
Recovery has limits: ShardStitch cannot recreate unsaved model context or reasoning that existed only in a vanished conversation. Its usefulness depends on the files, logs, notes and other evidence that survived.
ShardDesign is a forthcoming visual editor within ShardStitch for supported AI-built websites. It is designed to let users adjust text, images, spacing and layout, then compare the editable draft with the original before applying changes. Compatibility depends on the website's framework and structure.
Its planned MCP audit capability will assess sitewide content and technical SEO risks, including repetitive templates, overlapping page intent, unsupported content, broken citations and indexing issues. Findings will provide a prioritized remediation scope aligned with Google's published guidance, not a guaranteed explanation for ranking declines or protection from spam updates.
ShardStitch is available for Windows, macOS and Linux at $49 for a one-time license. ShardDesign is coming soon and planned for inclusion in the bundle.
