AudioVisualize is a free web app for turning sound into visuals. It reads a music file or your microphone, applies one of 32 visualization styles — nine of them free — and draws the result on canvas in real time using the Web Audio API. When you like what you see, the clip exports to WebM or MP4 directly from the browser, no watermark attached.
Two design choices stand out. First, rendering is local: the audio file never leaves your device, so there is no upload wait and no privacy trade-off. Second, the free export path has no account gate — you do not sign up, log in, or pay to download a clip.
Optional extras include AI-generated backgrounds behind the visuals and curated starting points for DJs, podcasters, musicians, and streamers. Guides on OBS overlay integration and export settings live on the blog for people embedding it into a streaming setup.
Typical uses are short-form social posts, podcast audiograms, demo backdrops, and stage visuals. Because the whole pipeline runs client-side, it works on any modern browser without installing multi-gigabyte desktop editors, which keeps the barrier to a finished clip genuinely low. The visualizer responds to beats and frequency bands, so different genres produce noticeably different motion patterns.
