On first launch, you pick at least one category or source — Aaven never fetches anything until you explicitly enable a source. From there, tapping Refresh pulls fresh headlines directly from each publisher's own public RSS feed, summarizes each story to your preferred depth, and reads it aloud in a natural voice while you commute, walk, cook, or do chores.

Aaven is built around one rule: every network fetch traces back to an explicit action you took this session — never a background timer, never a silent refresh. Nothing is fetched just because time passed or the app came to the foreground. That also means no tracking and no ad SDKs — the only network calls are to the publishers' own RSS feeds you chose to enable, plus on-device processing for summarization and narration wherever your hardware supports it.
